Guidelines for Community Posts

1. Respect the website editors and translators.

Website editors and translators are volunteers who are doing our best to ensure this is a useful and positive website that works for everyone. Please be patient while we deal with any issues that may arise. Editors’ decisions are final.

2. Be kind and courteous

Please treat everyone with respect and assume that all blog posts are coming from a place of goodwill. Healthy debates are natural, but kindness is required. Don’t use the comments section to be negative or make personal remarks.

3. No hate speech or bullying

Bullying of any kind isn’t allowed. Degrading comments about other people’s race, sex, religion, culture, sexual orientation or disability will not be tolerated, either in community posts or comments on posts.

4. No promotions or spam

Relevant business information is welcomed and can be entered into the database and published on the page; however self-promotion, spam and irrelevant links will be deleted.

5. Responsible posts, no scaremongering

Please be positive and responsible in your blog posts. Being realistic is one thing, scaring everyone is another. Please bear in mind how others might be affected by your blog posts and comments.

6. Non-authorisation/ removal of inappropriate posts

We reserve the right not to authorise blog posts and to remove comments which breach any of our rules or are defamatory, contain abuse or incite negative or anti-social behaviour in any way. We reserve the right to do this without notification or explanation.

7. Posting to the website means you accept these rules

If you don’t wish to work to these rules, please find somewhere else to post your views.
